The sieve is an essential tool in sorting waste and recycling it. Screening is used to mechanically sort household waste, paper, cardboard, green waste and mud. It also has the function of calibrating the waste to be kept. There are different types of screeners depending on the substance to be sorted: disc screens, star screens, drum screens, trommel screens, vibrating screens. The sieve creates movements which cause jolts such that the materials to be sorted, which one wishes to get rid of and separate from the element to be kept, will rebound, while those to be kept will remain on the surface.
